Artistic Toy Imprint Methods and Color Matching:
Artistic Toy uses two methods for imprinting accessories: screen print and heat transfer. We work with you to find the best result at the lowest cost.
We recommend doing a screen print process for one- to two-color imprinting on colored fabrics. If you need more than a 3 color imprint, it will not be cost or time effective. Please be aware there are limitations in screen printing highly detailed logos. Because most toys have a small imprint area, some logos and fonts with lines very close to one another will tend to be filled in by the ink. All screen prints are sent out and take 2-3 days.
We recommend a heat transfer process for full color imprinting. Heat transfers can only be done on white accessories. This is the primary method used when the artwork is very small, detailed, or color-intensive. All heat transfers are performed in-house and take 1-2 days to print.
Regardless of imprint method, we work to match the color you request. Please provide us with a PMS number along with CMYK numbers and we will match as close as possible. Recognize there are limitations in color matching that are outside of our control. Different paper and fabric material may produce color variations on your product. In addition, photographs will not always represent actual proof colors because of lighting and monitor screen settings. We cannot guarantee PMS color matching; however, we will match as close as possible at no additional charge.
Minimum Artwork Requirements:
- Vector Graphics CMYK Color
- Raster Images 150dpi or higher
* For best results, please send Vector Artwork files created in Adobe Illustrator and saved in .PDF, .AI, or .EPS formats.
** If using specific PMS Color(s), include PMS and CMYK numbers with artwork.
The Sm@rt Artwork Guidelines define the quality criteria that determine the minimum readiness of each of three common artwork formats. The guidelines cover both vector and raster art files, as well as including instructions to avoid common errors related to fonts and linked images.
